Temporary Full Time DSP Work - Community Day Services

Caritas Family Solutions is seeking a temporary Direct Service Provider (DSP) to work in their Community Day Services (CDS) home in Waterloo, IL. The DSP will be responsible for providing direct care to clients with developmental disabilities and must have a servant's heart and be passionate about supporting people with disabilities.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must already have DSP Training completed and registered on the IL Healthcare Worker Registry
• Must have valid driver's license
• Have adequate transportation to be able to move from site to site
• Ability to drive a regular size and larger size van or willing to be trained
• Present High School diploma or GED
• Able to lift 50 pounds and walk flights of stairs
• Have normal or corrective eyewear and hearing devices
• Have clarity of speech to be understood
• Good hearing
• Constitution to handle body excrements
• Must be emotionally stable enough to react appropriately to a consumer in crisis
• Be available to fill shifts as needed
• Successfully complete orientation program
• Able to provide basic living skills to adults
• Work within agency structure and accept supervision
• Work constructively using team approach with peers
• Work with providers in the community
• Must feel confident to report abuse and neglect of consumers/staff to supervisor
• Must be flexible and open-minded
• Do other duties as assigned and/or as mutually agreed upon
