Automation Maintenance Technician III

The Automation Maintenance Technician III performs advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on molding and production machines and related equipment. This role requires excellent mechanical skills, knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical theory, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum five years of experience in automation maintenance, mechatronics, or related field
• Mechatronics Tech Engineering Degree or equivalent education a plus
• Excellent mechanical skills with knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical theory
• Strong proficiency in the use of power and hand tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent computer knowledge, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and basic knowledge on CAD programs
• Ability to read ladder logic and PLC ladder diagrams to upload/download PLC programs and to make changes on the code
• Ability to interpret and make necessary engineering drawings, schematics, and associated engineering documentation
• Ability to bend, shape and trim metal using various specialty tools
• Ability to purchase own hand‐tools and some electrical troubleshooting devices, if necessary
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to work with members across the organization and to train and mentor other team members
