Job Description
Our client is one of the leading logistics providers from Asia to North America, seeking a Business Development Manager to develop the logistics business, establish long-term business relationships with customers, and stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping industry
- Familiar with and able to work on Ocean/Air/LCL export and import shipments under CIF, FOB, DDU,DDP and EXW terms
- Familiar with and able to work on Transpacific trade including: base port & inland ports, all water services & IPI/RIPI routes, relevant regulation and filing requirements, destination matters such as customs clearance, door delivery and setting up DDP shipments
- Have an existing clientele and capable of independently sourcing and expanding the new client base
- Able to work independently or collaboratively with the team and related parties to secure deals and resolve issues
- Able to build and maintain strong networks and relationships with customers, vendors (forwarder & forwarding) and carriers
