Job Description
As a Pipefitter at Ingalls Shipbuilding, you will be responsible for fitting pipe consisting of various materials along with the appropriate valves and fittings, utilizing various tools and equipment in accordance with drawing, arrangements and blue prints. The role involves working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years trade experience
- Basic math, reading and comprehension skills
- Knowledge of the layout, fit-up, fabrication and installation of pipe, flanges and valves
- Read and interpret trade drawings and/or blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements
