WELDER/STRUCTURE EXPERIENCED - 10+ YEARS REQUIRED

Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking qualified welders with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on welding experience. The role involves performing structural and/or pipe welds in all phases of ship construction. Competitive pay, weekly paychecks, paid time off, paid holidays, medical benefits, and more are offered. Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on welding experience
• 1.5 years of experience welding for Newport News Shipbuilding
• Ability to work assigned shift as production needs
• Ability to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces
• Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Pass a respirator fit test
• Pass a Physical Agility Test
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors year round in all weather conditions
• Ability to perform overhead work
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen
