Job Description
The (Seasonal) Public Safety Attendant is responsible for providing information to the public, preventing unsafe conditions, and enforcing park rules and regulations. This is a temporary part-time position.
Requirements
- Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors, and park visitors.
- Ability to operate bicycle, moped, or other type of motorized vehicle.
- Ability to distinguish letters and symbols.
- Ability to communicate using telephone and/or radio equipment.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to traverse sandy, marshy and wooded areas with even and uneven terrain.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Benefits
- Pay rate: $13.75/hour (up to 600 hours per year)
- Retention bonus: up to $5.75 per hour for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day
- Seasonal bonus: $0.60 per hour for all hours worked
