Job Description
The Director of Accounting is responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance across all accounting functions, and leading the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- 5-7+ years progressive responsibility in accounting or finance
- Professional accounting designation preferred (CPA, CMA)
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Able to take on new high-level-of-difficulty tasks
- Consistently exhibits sound judgment and makes timely decisions
- Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex financial information and concepts
- Communication skills within the financial community and with non-financial personnel
- Working knowledge of process improvement, continuous improvement, and project management
