Machinist

The machinist shall support Hussey Seating Company manufacturing needs through building tools and performing die maintenance, implementing new production processes, and providing guidance to employees regarding tooling.

Requirements

• High school education (or equivalent)
• Minimum 1-5 years of professional experience in a machine shop environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities are shifting regularly
• Excellent fundamental knowledge of Manufacturing principles
• Proficient with conversational controls (preferably ProtoTrak machine tools)
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements
• Ability to effectively follow blueprints and provide technical assistance
• Ability to troubleshoot fixturing problems
• Effective time management skills and ability to manage projects as assigned
• Well organized and efficient with the ability to plan and organize work tasks to meet department objectives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with the ability to establish and maintain good working relations with internal teams as well as contribute to the ongoing engagement and development of the manufacturing teams
• Process improvement mindset
