The machinist shall support Hussey Seating Company manufacturing needs through building tools and performing die maintenance, implementing new production processes, and providing guidance to employees regarding tooling.
Requirements
- High school education (or equivalent)
- Minimum 1-5 years of professional experience in a machine shop environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities are shifting regularly
- Excellent fundamental knowledge of Manufacturing principles
- Proficient with conversational controls (preferably ProtoTrak machine tools)
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements
- Ability to effectively follow blueprints and provide technical assistance
- Ability to troubleshoot fixturing problems
- Effective time management skills and ability to manage projects as assigned
- Well organized and efficient with the ability to plan and organize work tasks to meet department objectives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player with the ability to establish and maintain good working relations with internal teams as well as contribute to the ongoing engagement and development of the manufacturing teams
