Job Description
Hutchens Law Firm has an immediate opening for an experienced, full-time litigation paralegal in our Columbia, SC location. This position will support a well-established attorney with duties, including, but not limited to: Case management, legal transcription/dictation, assisting with discovery, downloading filings, correspondence, entering time, obtaining fee approval, and other duties as assigned in other departments as requested or needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Excellent computer proficiency, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with ability to learn new programs and/or platforms
- Must know how to e-file in State and Federal Courts
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex legal and business documents
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
- Ability to identify problems, establish facts, and conduct legal research
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
