Job Description
Medical Lab Technician/Medical Technologist responsible for accurately processing, analyzing and reporting laboratory results with minimal supervision. Must maintain confidentiality and ethical standards. Responsibilities include quality control monitoring, computer applications, instrumentation troubleshooting, and specimen collection and processing requirements.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician Program or related field
- MLT (ASCP) certification (preferred)
- MT /MLS with ASCP certification or BS degree in biological science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- ASCP certification
- Certified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) through HEW
- Already functioning as a MLT or MT within HVHS (Grandfathered) as of June 2004
