A degree or certificate from a culinary school is preferred.
Requirements
- A solid background in culinary arts and kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and an understanding of how to manage costs.
- A degree or certificate from a culinary school is preferred.
- A few years of experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally within a hotel or resort.
- Previous experience as a Lead Cook or in a similar supervisory role where you’ve managed others.
- A basic understanding of how food costs, inventory, and labor affect the kitchen's budget.
- The ability to speak and write clearly to coordinate with your team and other departments.
- Basic computer knowledge for things like checking schedules, emails, or logging hours.
- A valid food handler’s card or manager’s food safety certification.
