Qualified Operator

Set up, program and operate CNC grinding machines according to written procedures and grind work pieces to customer's blueprint specification.

Requirements

• Communicate with Department Leaders regarding the status of jobs
• Assist Department Leader in pulling jobs through the department
• Track and monitor the flow, quality and time remaining on each job
• Provide instructions and feedback to Operators and Trainees
• Analyze specifications and select tooling and fixturing
• Write CNC programs utilizing G-Code, MasterCAM or other manufacturer specific code
• Verify dimensions of ground work piece for conformance to specifications
• Follow 8-steps for every job and completes SPC charts in accordance with customer specifications and AGS requirements
• Keep work area, department and shop cleaned and organized
• Perform basic maintenance on machines
