Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist I-II to lead identification, development, and implementation of EHS programs and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with EHS regulations and requirements, lead EHS initiatives, and provide leadership in EHS training development and delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g., Occupational Safety, Safety Sciences, Environmental Engineering)
- 1-3 years of broad Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment (for EHS I)
- 4-7 years of broad Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment (for EHS II)
- Demonstrable understanding of mechanical and electrical (AC and DC) troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of Federal and State environmental health and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, EPCRA, TSCA, NPDES, CAA, PSM/RMP, SPPP/SPCC)
- Experience managing Workers Compensation programs and legal coordination
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and planning abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data tracking systems
