Job Description
The Clinical Assistant provides patient care in the clinic and related administrative duties, working Monday-Friday during clinic hours 7:00am-5:00pm. They are responsible for preparing patients for exams, maintaining clinical flow, and assisting with documentation. The role requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent and may require certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience.
Requirements
- Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms
- Room patients and prepare for exams
- Maintain an efficient, organized clinical flow
- Gather and verify patient information
- Assist with documentation of patient data
- Prep for injections, change dressings, apply medical equipment
- Ensure coding requirements are followed
- Act as a prescribing delegate to enter medical orders
