Perform First, Second and Third Level repairs on aircraft structural components and ground support equipment. Perform structural inspections, repair, and maintenance procedures in support of both the line maintenance and scheduled maintenance teams.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft structures and structural components, inspection techniques, damage assessment, aircraft materials and hardware, use of special tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of corrosion control techniques.
- Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performance of the duties.
- Ability to drive vehicles and tow tractors.
- Graduate of a recognized aircraft structural repair course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or be qualified as an aircraft structures technician within the Canadian Armed Forces or equivalent commercial experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in aviation maintenance is required.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program.
