Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Geologist to join our team at the Westwood Mine in Quebec, Canada. The successful candidate will have a degree in geology or geological engineering, 1-3 years of experience in underground mine production, and a strong sense of security, team spirit, and professional rigor. The role involves analyzing, planning, and controlling underground production levels, as well as working closely with geology and engineering teams.
Requirements
- University degree in geology or geological engineering
- 1-3 years of experience in underground mine production
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des géologues du Québec (OGQ) or the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Explosives permit
- Modular miner's worker training (modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Knowledge of Leapfrog Geo, Vulcan, and Deswik
