Job Description
The job description is for a Government Safety Inspector Operations — Air Operator Certification (OPS) iPack team leader. The team is responsible for the certification and safety oversight of air operators to ensure compliance with ICAO provisions.
Requirements
- First-level university degree in Aviation, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Considerable experience (ten years or more) in senior position in a CAA Department of Air Operator Certification
- Significant experience (three years or more) working as flight operations inspector with a CAA in the certification of air operators
- Extensive experience as flight operations inspector dealing with flight operations inspections and audit, accident/incident investigation and safety management system
- Experience in all aspects of certification and oversight of air operators, such as review of applications, review of manuals, lists, demonstrations
- Holds or has held an air transport pilot license with one or two ratings on medium and large modern aircraft with total 3000 flying hours
- Sound knowledge of relevant ICAO Annexes, particularly of Annex 6, related Annexes and guidance material
- Sound knowledge of CAA OPS policies, regulations, procedures, and practices
