Design Manager

Our Client is looking to hire a design manager to ensure their core values are achieved through the delivery of a safe design aligned with CDM 2015 regulations. The role involves managing a design team, overseeing design manager and design coordinators, and ensuring compliance with various regulations and procedures.

Requirements

• Input into the selection of the design team
• Agree the design team's responsibilities, scope of services and deliverables
• Agree tender and construction programme with the design team
• Hold and minute regular design meetings and involve critical sub-contractors as necessary
• Advise on the selection of specialist sub-contractors and sub-consultants
• Obtain fees for all specialist consultants and sub-consultants
• Consider alternative building methods, sub-contractor and materials
• Consider and resolve all statutory requirements
• Review and co-ordinate package interfaces
• Assist in the production of the Contractors Proposals
• Attend selection interview when required.
• Produce and maintain a Risk & Opportunity Schedule
• Produce and maintain tender Querv Schedule
• Review EiR document and ensure compliance with BIM requirements
• Ensure a Pre-BEP is in place where necessary
• Ensure compliance with the 'Designed for Excellence' design procedures
