Chemical Operator

The Chemical Operator position is in our Lawrence food chemical processing plant. As the Chemical Operator, you will operate in a safe and efficient manner, carrying out basic duties such as raw material handling and unloading, material packing, restocking of packaging supplies, trailer loading and unloading using fork truck, bulk truck loading and unloading, clean-up and housekeeping, troubleshoot process problems, and operate auxiliary equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. further than 10 feet on a frequent basis
• Ability to work in confined areas while wearing protective clothing & equipment
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, computer applications
• Good reading and comprehensive skills
• Ability to learn new duties and progress to chemical operator level
• Ability to operate a fork truck
