Newsroom Summer Intern

The Times Union, a leading news organization in New York's Capital Region and Hudson Valley, is seeking a Summer 2026 Newsroom Intern to gain hands-on experience in reporting and audience engagement. The internship is paid and runs for up to 11 weeks during summer 2026, with flexible start and end dates. Interns will be integrated into the newsroom and will produce compelling stories under the guidance of an editor.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university, or have graduated within the past year
• Have reliable transportation and be able to drive to assignments
• Have a journalism concentration and/or experience working at a college publication
• Be willing to collaborate and contribute to a fast-paced newsroom
