Job Description
IDEA Public Schools is seeking a 6th-12th School Counselor to lead family engagement and support student social emotional learning. The role focuses on student persistence, data analysis, and collaboration with the PEIMS team to ensure all students have the resources to succeed. The School Counselor will lead campus teams and direct work of student populations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
- Previous experience in a school or school setting
- Valid TX School Counselor certification or counseling licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-S, LPC-A, LPC, LMFT)
- Proven track record of success
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student behavior
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
