Job Description
The Special Education RISE Teacher role at IDEA Public Schools involves teaching students with significant disabilities, adapting lessons, and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The role requires experience in a Special Education classroom setting, valid Texas state certification, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities (strongly preferred)
- Valid Texas state certification in Special Education
- Appropriate grade and subject band core content certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
