Buyer

IDEX is seeking a Buyer to negotiate and purchase materials, goods, and services to meet the company's operational requirements. The successful candidate will monitor delivery reports, work directly with suppliers, and manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and cost goals. This is a critical role that requires a strong sense of urgency, great communication skills, and the desire to make a measurable and immediate impact on the business.

Requirements

• Negotiate and purchase materials, goods, and services
• Monitor delivery reports and work directly with suppliers
• Manage supplier relationships
• Maintain materials to support 100% on-time delivery and cost goals
• Manage inventory to improve turns and decrease dollar value
• Develop and/or maintain planning date, such as: Planning Bills of Material, Safety Stock, Lead-time, Lot Sizes, Kanban levels, etc.
