Job Description
We're seeking a proactive and collaborative Data Engineer who brings technical expertise and a passion for transforming data into business value. As a Data Engineer at If, you'll help transform complex insurance data from the Guidewire domain into scalable, source-aligned data products that support analytics and decision-making.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of practical experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (such as SQL Server, Azure storage solutions, Teradata, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Python in a data engineering context
- Experience using modern cloud-based data and analytics platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure and/or Databricks
- Interest in designing scalable, reliable, and well-structured data solutions
- Enjoys working hands-on with code and data to solve problems
- Curious about how data can drive real business outcomes
- Takes ownership of solutions and is committed to quality
- Communicates clearly and enjoys collaborating with others in a team environment
