The Senior Tax Accountant will work on various tax reporting, compliance and planning projects as directed by the Tax Manager. The Senior Tax Accountant will support and review month end close activities
Requirements
- Responsible for researching and gathering information for federal, state and local, international, and indirect tax returns
- Prepare foreign direct and indirect tax filings and reconciliations.
- Review and oversee monthly reconciliations of various tax accounts on the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Independently prepare and review the quarterly tax estimates and year end extension estimates to ensure timely filings.
- Prepare SOX control documentation.
- Oversee and gather information for tax authority audits, as well as other ad hoc projects.
- Lead communications and negotiations with tax authorities over tax payment issues through letter writing.
- Own the maintenance of the tax calendar, tax notice log, and carryover schedules.
- Ensure the accurate and timely filings of governmental surveys, property tax returns, and other indirect tax
