Job Description
Imerys is the world's leading supplier of mineral-based specialty solutions for industry, with a focus on responsible development and commitment to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces. The company is recruiting a Laboratory Technician to join its Sample Preparation & Physical Analysis team at its Par Moor Centre in Cornwall. The role is hands-on and operational, involving sample preparation, physical testing, and supporting the wider analytical team.
Requirements
- Carrying out laboratory-scale sample preparation and physical analysis using approved test methods and Good Laboratory Practice
- Performing repetitive, hands-on manual handling of bulk raw material samples
- Supporting the wider analytical team with sample preparation and testing activities
- Accurately recording and reporting results using laboratory systems, including LIMS and Google-based tools
- Supporting ISO9001 laboratory accreditation through routine checks, calibration and quality control activities
- Working safely at all times, adhering to health & safety procedures, risk assessments and PPE requirements
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards within the laboratory and surrounding work areas
