The Machine Operator operates can manufacturing equipment and ancillary equipment in the factory, performing various jobs associated with manufacturing, packing, taping, stapling, welding, inspecting, and other functions. This is a fast-paced and production heavy position.
Requirements
- Arrange machine at the beginning of shift to ensure that the line is in order
- Set up machines with needed materials
- Inspect and pack manufactured products in an efficient manner with regards to quality standards
- Perform basic manufacturing processes by operating contingent line equipment such as tapers, printers, strappers and cover ups
- Meet customer requirements by following work instructions including work orders, specification sheets, and production reporting
- Independently operate manufacturing equipment in an efficient and safe manner while meeting required quality standards
- Identify and correct manufacturing issues which effect production efficiency and quality
- Perform minor maintenance including greasing and oiling
- Recognize problems and recommend corrective actions to mechanics
- Comply with GMP and AIB procedures
- Follow Company personnel and product safety requirements including standards such as those from SQF and internal GMPs
- Follow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with State and Federal laws
