Actuarial Analyst-Intermediate

Actuarial Analyst-Intermediate position at Independent Health Association, Inc. in Buffalo, NY. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or related field
• Three years of Actuarial or related experience
• Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries exam
• Strong understanding of Actuarial concepts, functions, and processes
• Detailed understanding of health care concepts and products
• Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, SAS and other analytic or query tools
• Programming and coding experience
• Proven ability to handle data sources, filter and assess data quality, and recognize data patterns
• Strong problem solving skills
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivation and initiative
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in fast paced environment
