The Head Varsity Volleyball Coach provides leadership and supervision for the Indian Creek School Volleyball program, carrying out objectives within the school's guidelines.
Requirements
- Formulates objectives for the upcoming sport season
- Keeps abreast of new ideas and techniques
- Remains knowledgeable of rules and regulations concerning the sport
- Adheres to proper procedures for out-of-season practices
- Selects and maintains equipment
- Assists the Athletic Director as needed
- Works with the Athletic Director to staff positions
- Administers a pre-season parent meeting
- Organizes a pre-season meeting with the complete Volleyball staff
- Ensures the coaching staff has completed all required training
- Assumes responsibility for ongoing care of equipment and facilities
- Applies discipline in a firm and positive manner
- Ensures that facility regulations are understood and enforced
- Emphasize safety precautions
- Reports the outcomes of contests to the media and the Athletic Director
- Instructs players on rules and rule changes
- Attends all Athletic Department, and League scheduled meetings
- Maintains records of team and individual accomplishments
- Evaluates past season
