Requirements
- Master’s degree (M.S.) in Chemistry, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Chemistry
- Proven knowledge of and preference for experience in teaching Introduction to Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and the associated laboratories
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Ability to work with and teach to diverse populations
- Ability to apply traditional and innovative technologies
- Ability to use data and assessment tools in the evaluation and improvement of instruction
- Ability to engage students as active partners in the teaching/learning process
- Computer literacy and experience using technology in the learning environment
- Experience teaching in an online environment preferred
- An understanding of learning styles is preferred; willingness to learn is essential
