Assistant Professor I Chemistry

Requirements

• Master’s degree (M.S.) in Chemistry, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Chemistry
• Proven knowledge of and preference for experience in teaching Introduction to Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and the associated laboratories
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• Ability to work with and teach to diverse populations
• Ability to apply traditional and innovative technologies
• Ability to use data and assessment tools in the evaluation and improvement of instruction
• Ability to engage students as active partners in the teaching/learning process
• Computer literacy and experience using technology in the learning environment
• Experience teaching in an online environment preferred
• An understanding of learning styles is preferred; willingness to learn is essential
