Chief Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled Chief Accountant who will have ownership for the Accounting function at Ingenico UK and other EMEA entities. In this role you'll report to the Head of Finance and work in close collaboration with the UK finance team as well as peers across EMEA and global finance teams, not to mention the business itself.

Requirements

• Ensure all the accounting-related functions of the company are flowing smoothly
• Supervise the AP & AR activities (offshore) to ensure timely service delivery to the company
• Enable a smooth and robust financial closing process, in alignment with our standards
• Cash management incl factoring processes, cashflow budgeting and weekly forecasting
• Lead in identifying, developing and implementing effective internal control mechanisms and drive consistent improvements in accounting processes and routines
• Support the preparation of statutory reporting in strict adherence to accounting standards
• Be the main point of contact to both internal & external auditors
• Relationship-building is absolutely key - HMRC, banks, Ingenico customers & suppliers, external auditors, professional accountancy & tax specialists, consultants
• Validation and verification of payments for accuracy and accountability
• Tax – Corporation tax payment calculations, VAT returns, and annual tax computations (in close coordination with our external advisor), including R&D Tax Credit and Patent Box
• Insurance policies – working with our brokers to implement annual policies
