Job Description
Quality Services Specialist at Ingram, responsible for maintaining and improving product quality, conducting inspections, and recommending improvements to systems and procedures.
Requirements
- Monitors programs designed to maintain/improve product quality
- Inspects books at various stages of the production process and compiles audit findings
- Performs 28 Quality checklist items required on a per shift basis
- Conducts 100% inspections at all phases of the manufacturing process on replacement orders
- Recommends modifications and improvements to systems and procedures
- Assists in the evaluation and resolution of quality, waste and manufacturing issues
- Helps coordinate ongoing quality improvements within LSI's manufacturing process
- Provides recommendations to QS Training Specialists on training needs
- Assists with the monitoring of waste streams in manufacturing process
- Compiles and analyzes statistical data as part of root cause analysis
- Assists with the evaluation of equipment performance
- Helps develop and implement projects designed to reduce waste of materials and/or time
- Conducts quality-related presentations during monthly Safety and Quality Huddles and New Hire Onboarding
