Senior Medical Director - Policy & Outcomes

IEHP is seeking a Senior Medical Director (Sr. Medical Director - P&O) to lead the development and execution of medical policies and clinical leadership within the Health Services organization. This role involves overseeing regulatory audits, providing clinical guidance, managing physician and clinical teams, and ensuring adherence to health plan standards. The position is focused on improving member safety, quality of care, and achieving accreditation goals. IEHP is committed to providing holistic well-being and inspiring team members.

Requirements

• Seven (7) years of post-residency experience in a recognized medical specialty or practice, including (3) years of medical administrative experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of managed care or health plan leadership experience
• Experience working with clinical practice guidelines and evidenced based criteria sets
• Exposure to regulatory agencies
• Doctorate of Medicine from an accredited institution
• Certification by one (1) of the American Specialty Boards required
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• Active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Physician’s and Surgeon’s Certificate issued by the State of California
• Physician certified in a state other than California may be employed
• Valid California Driver’s License preferred
