Chief Engineer (Facilities Operations and Maintenance)

Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) is seeking a Chief Engineer (Facilities Operations and Maintenance) to lead and oversee technical operations of a federal facility. This is a supervisory role responsible for all aspects of facility operations, maintenance, and repairs. The role involves training and supervising personnel, ensuring compliance, and optimizing equipment performance. The company delivers value to clients through technical expertise and a coordinated effort from disciplines.

Requirements

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in facility operations and maintenance, with verifiable expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• One or more of the following certifications (or equivalent experience): N.A.P.E. Air Conditioning III – Operations and Management, N.A.P.E. Air Conditioning III – Operations and Management, International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) (Class 2 minimum, Class 1 preferred)
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Experience implementing preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prevent equipment failures
• Proficiency in managing HVAC personnel and general maintenance workers (GMWs)
• Fluent in English (spoken, written, and reading comprehension)
• Must be available outside of standard working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• U.S. Citizenship
