Job Description
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking a System Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure virtual infrastructure, physical and Windows/Linux environments. The ideal candidate has a deep technical background in Windows OS, Linux OS, and virtualization/physical best practices, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proven ability to maintain highly available, secure, and performant systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or other STEM field (or equivalent full-time professional experience)
- 3+ years of professional systems/software development experience
- Security + CE certification
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with network management, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls
- Proficiency with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Solid experience with PowerShell or Bash scripting for automation
- Ability to understand and interact with complex DoD compliance tools
