Tactical Software Engineer

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking a Tactical Software Engineer to join their Warfare Systems team, with locations in Arlington, VA and Mount Laurel, NJ. The successful candidate will design, implement, and test complex software for tactical warfare systems, utilizing various programming languages and Agile development processes. The role requires a strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and algorithmic complexity, with a focus on delivering production-ready solutions that exceed fleet requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional experience
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
• Familiarity with combat system design and software
• Experience with developing tactical systems software on DOD programs
• Familiarity with C, C++, Python, and/or Java programming languages
• Adept with developing in Linux OS environments, including shell scripting
