Certified Athletic Trainer

Newport Orthopedic Institute is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service orientation and strong critical thinking skills. The position involves working in various athletic training settings and event coverage, with the opportunity to pick up shifts based on availability.

Requirements

• NATA Board of Certification exam and state licensure or regulation
• Current Certification through NATABOC
• Current CPR/AED Certification
• Current private malpractice insurance
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings
• Skilled in the evaluation of injuries, triage, injury management, and knowledge of current concussion management strategies
• Ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner with athletes at any level, parents, coaching staff, and physicians
• Hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity is required
• Adheres to HIPAA, privacy, confidentiality and safety guidelines per office polices and protocol
