Biomedical Engineer 2

The role involves preventative maintenance and repair of medical equipment, analysis of issues, timely resolution of problems, and maintaining the integrity of the service management system. Requirements

• Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot communication and interface issues between medical devices and electronic medical records systems.
• Completes and oversees assigned equipment preventative maintenance service and other equipment scheduled services in accordance with the manufacturer guidelines.
• Oversees vendor performance, monitors quality of work and assures that the vendor is complying with the original manufacturer guidelines, as well as equipment management plan set forth by clinical engineering.
• Trains BMET I on preventative maintenance and repair, procedures/techniques and the use of test equipment.
• Documents all service events on each medical device in the service management system database.
