Respiratory Therapist 2

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist 2 to join the team, responsible for establishing and managing basic mechanical ventilation and performing weaning mechanics. The role requires a graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory care program and six months of experience in a critical care environment or one or more years of specialized training in advanced diagnostics/pulmonary rehabilitation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory care program
• Six months in a critical care environment or one or more years of specialized training in advanced diagnostics/pulmonary rehabilitation
• Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Basic Life Support from AHA upon start
• Advanced Certifications (ACLS, PALS or NRP) must be obtain within one year from date of hire
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
