Job Description
Instacart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II (L6) to lead the development of the Ads DSE team. This role focuses on modernizing data solutions, scaling integrations, and automating taxonomy management. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader capable of mentoring engineers, driving cross-team collaboration, and innovating with AI. The team operates under a Flex First approach with no one-size-fits-all remote work policy.
Requirements
- Proven senior-level impact
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong in Python and one of Ruby or Go
- Data pipelines with DBT and Airflow
- Spark/Databricks; advanced SQL
- Snowflake and AWS experience
- Experience with ad-tech/programmatic and measurement integrations
- Cleanrooms (Snowflake DCR, shares/listings)
- Working knowledge of privacy and compliance practices (GDPR/CCPA)
- CI/CD, containers, test strategy
- AI fluency
