Job Description
We are looking for an Underwriting Consultant to join our Inland Marine team. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of progressively more complex specialty lines underwriting experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of progressively more complex specialty lines underwriting experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Professional insurance designation is preferred (AICPCU, RPLU)
- Maximizes opportunities for underwriting profitable new and renewal business
- Manages financial performance of all assigned products
- Underwrites a book of business
- Manages underwriting quality and book management
- Ensures compliance with standards and assigned underwriting authorities
- Develops superior working relationships with producers
- Regularly travels to key producers/accounts and remains highly visible in the marketplace
