Job Description
The General Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting financial operations. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
Requirements
- Relevant education in Accounting (DEC, AEC, or Bachelor's degree is an asset)
- Previous experience in accounting (payables, receivables, reconciliations)
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office 365
- Familiarity with an accounting software or ERP system (Oracle, NetSuite an asset)
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
