Requirements
- Five years of experience in power transformer field service (oil processing, regasketing, component replacement) on 230kV class equipment or higher.
- Deep understanding of power transformer construction and maintenance.
- Experience with special transformers is preferred.
- Two years of experience managing teams in a union environment preferred.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and hold teams accountable.
- Strong communication skills – able to effectively communicate with diverse audiences from customers to technicians to senior leadership.
- Ability to make decisions and take action when time or customer pressures are apparent.
- Knowledge of HR, budgeting, contracts, P&L management, and financial statements is preferred.
- Results-Driven – Takes accountability for business outcomes and prioritizes key success factors.
- Strong computer skills – proficient in MS office, Adobe, and testing software (including, but not limited to, Doble, Vanguard, Omicron).
- Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Traverse and business intelligence platforms like DOMO is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel regionally.
- Flexible with hours, overtime, and some weekend work as required to meet customer needs and support field team.
- Specific safety, environmental, health training preferred: OSHA 10 or 30, MSHA 30 CFR Part 48 A or Part B, Electrical Safety NFPA 70E or equivalent, Lock Out Tag Out and control of hazardous energy, Spill prevention and control.
