BEHAVIORAL HEALTH MA

The Behavioral Health Medical Assistant will provide medical assisting services to behavioral health providers, including assisting with patient care, recording, scheduling, and office tasks. This role requires flexibility and a focus on quality patient care. The role involves de-escalation and crisis intervention.

Requirements

• Screen potential and existing patients.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Check patients in for appointments.
• Verify insurance and demographic information.
• Collect co-payments, coinsurance, deductibles and patient balances.
• Prepare charts for appointments.
• Copy, scan and mail documents.
• Update patient charts.
• Answer phones.
• Attend staff and front office meetings.
