Job Description
The Assistant Activities Director is responsible for planning and implementing recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for residents in the Dementia Special Care Unit, working under the supervision of the Activities Director.
Requirements
- Certified as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or an Activity Professional by an accrediting body recognized by the Department
- 2 years of experience in social or recreational programs within the last 5 years, with at least 1 year of full-time experience in a resident activities program in a healthcare setting
- Alternatively, qualified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant
