Requirements
- Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or related
- Minimum of 3-5 years' applicable experience in finance or accounting; prefer healthcare financial experience
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Communicate key financial and business drivers, operating results and trended performance results.
- Support financial leadership with timely forecasts, pro formas, projections and service line analyses to monitor performance against expectation
- Recommend procedural efficiencies
- Makes recommendations concerning means of reducing costs, increasing revenues or improving financial performance.
- Assist education of management on financial matters
- Assist in the compilation of operating, capital and grant budgets and variance analysis
- Assists in cash planning tracking and reporting
- Responsible for providing support to third party reimbursement functions: cost report preparation, third-party reserves, net revenue per encounter and financial analysis.
- Develop and implement processes to ensure accurate and complete documentation is obtained for cost reporting
- Assist in financial statement audit processes
- Assist data extraction & external reporting requirements as applicable.
- Assists in grant expenditure analysis to ensure grant funds are being maximized
- Collaborate with 340b team with projections and various ad hoc analysis.
- Create and maintain report templates for financial system as well as implement or upgrade financial software as required
- Proactively establishes and maintains working relationships with site operational leaders, executive leaders and finance
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, interpret financial results and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to manage several projects, and meet essential deadlines as established.
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Strong technical, analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
- Strong Excel skills required; experience with accounting and electronic medical records systems
- Strong understanding of financial reporting & financial planning
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and interact with a diverse group of health care professionals
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and multiple, overlapping priorities
