Multimedia System Standards Engineer

The Multimedia System Standards team at InterDigital Video Lab is seeking a Multimedia System Standards Engineer to join the team. The team actively participates in state-of-the-art multimedia system standards development activities in international standardization organizations such as ISO/IEC/MPEG, 3GPP SA4, SVTA, DBV. The ideal candidate will have strong backgrounds in media storage and streaming, video processing, and virtual reality, and will actively contribute to MPEG, SVTA, DBV or 3GPP SA4 standardization activities.

Requirements

• Actively participate and contribute to MPEG, SVTA, DBV or 3GPP SA4 standardization activities
• Research on system technologies and solutions for multimedia centric processing, storage and delivery applications
• Document and present novel media streaming technologies and implementations
• Develop system solutions to support emerging applications such as Machine Learning compressed media and formats
• Proficient in C++ and C programming
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Available and willing to travel
