Interfaith Community Services seeks a Registered Substance Abuse Counselor to provide direct services to clients in addiction recovery programs. The counselor will work in conjunction with certified substance abuse counselors to provide support to clients with alcohol and/or drug addictions, mental health, and social/legal/economic barriers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Registration by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP) or the California Association of Drug/Alcohol Educators (CAADE)
- 6+ months of experience working in an addiction treatment facility, social services or nonprofit setting
- Experience working with individuals with alcohol, drug, mental illness, or homelessness
