A Design Manager serves a dual role - team leader and designer. This unique position requires a hands-on approach and a agile mind who can balance fulfilling the needs of the department, designers, and individual workload simultaneously.
Requirements
- Design direction and mentoring
- Interviews, hires, trains, and develops employees
- Serves as a technical expert for designs
- Distributes work throughout the department
- Manages day-to-day workflow-related issues
- Direct, manage and lead dedicated designer groups
- Oversee product training and process adherence
- Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes
- Mentor and supervise the Design team
- Manage, motivate, and influence the design team to constantly strive for excellence in performance
- Provide a growth path for successful PeopleSpace Designers and quickly managing out non-performers
- Develop and design concepts and execute creative material as required
- Understand each facet of what's being designed and push every member of the team to produce the utmost quality
