Job Description
The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings, conducting assignments through phone or Zoom.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Gujarati and English
- Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings
- Strong ability to interpret orally between Gujarati and English in both directions
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
- Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
- Reliable phone, laptop or desktop computer, and stable high-speed internet connection
- Access to a quiet, private workspace to support remote assignments
